I am in the United States Air Force. I have been deployed to Kuwait/Iraq for the past 5 months and will be returning the USA in 2 months. I am in direct combat almost everyday. I am married and have a 3 year old son Micheal. I thought I was happily married, until my wife of 4 years sent me an e-mail demanding a divorce, and she was moving my stuff out of the house with no reason. I never cheated on her nor did anything to hurt her. We were always happy . I was able to talk to her a couple days after she sent the e-mail and she told me she want the divorce, she does not love me and she is happier with out me. I don’t think there is another guy . But what am I supposed to think. I asked her about that and she told me she has no time for anyone else. I love my family so much. I don’t want to lose them. I can not afford a lawyer, so I will be losing my son also All the Lawyers I contact wanted a retainer of $3500 bucks. . Since MOTHERS normally win custody battles. I am more scared of losing my son then getting into gun fights in Iraq. I really hope you can help me through this process. I love my wife enough to let her go, if that is truly what she wants. But I DON’T want to be a weekend dad. Because she is happier without me. My family is my life. HELP ME OUT PLEASE. What I am asking is help with winning my son.
